In car commercials, we see the same roads, the same angles, the same magic hour lighting over and over again. It’s not easy cutting through automotive advertising. Still, somehow, we were able to do it consistently across Chevy models every time out.

When it was time to launch the all-new Chevy Traverse and present this stylish SUV to an adoring African American audience, we used the talented and versatile Mary J. Blige as an influencer before the word had even become a thing.

And then, for the same model, we leveraged mythological creatures to drive home the point that the Traverse was, in fact, not a myth but a highly-attainable, unique blend of affordable luxury.
